Harmonisation

Harmonisation is a legitimate aspiration of all producers

EWRN understands harmonisation as:

EEE scoping decisions are uniform in all Member States

This is a key objective in EWRN´s work.

Same registration process in all Member States

EWRN’s members ask the same data upon registration. Registration requires a guarantee for EEE placed on the market. This is the main issue of non harmonisation as the form of guarantee is directly linked to the compliance model, which varies significantly between Member States due to the different ways in which the Directive was transposed.

Same reporting format and report periodicity in all Member States

The data requested in reporting is very alike among EWRN members. The reporting period is, however, very variable at the moment as it too is directly linked to the chosen WEEE compliance model or the national laws.
